Referral Process
Anyone with a disability is able to self refer, eligibility will be determined by Service Canada. Simply walk into the Accessible Employment Resource Centre at 1150 Pontiac Drive, or call 519-332-4004 to set up an intake interview.

No formal diagnosis necessary – participants must be Opportunities Fund eligible. Persons who have learning challenges or other significant barriers to employment are not required to provide documentation to be eligible to attend.
Features and Benefits
- Staff are able to meet with prospective participants either on site or at a mutually agreeable location,( ie. Library or referring agency) if transportation is an issue
- Attendance records are provided if required by referring agency
- Transportation and childcare costs are provided
- Receive midterm and final reports on progress and areas of growth allowing participants time to improve and change work habits in order to be successful on the job
- Recommendations for employment or further interventions/training in line with their Return To Work Action Plan. If participant is not ready for competitive employment, alternate activities may be suggested in their plan (ie. Community resources, volunteer work, training or education) that will assist them into leading to employment
- Followup reports for one year after completion to ensure connections or reconnections to external service providers are complete, monitored on the job feedback and ensuring adequate on the job supports are provided for maximum job retention
